FAQs

  • How do I find a gravesite?
Arlington National Cemetery has developed ANC Explorer, an application that is available across common web browsers and on mobile smart phones. This app enables veterans, family members and the public to locate gravesites, generate front and back photos of a headstone or monument; and receive directions to those locations.
  • When does the Changing of the Guard Occur?
The guard is changed every hour on the hour from October 1 to March 31 in an elaborate ritual. From April 1 through September 30, there are more than double the opportunities to view the change because another change is added on the half hour and the cemetery closing time is extended from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
