True superstars of the classical world, the Emerson String Quartet returns for the 36th year to Washington, D.C.'s Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History for a solo recital with Lawrence Dunn on viola, Elizabeth Lim-Dutton on violin and Michael Brown on piano. They'll perform Johannes Brahms Trio in E-Flat Major, along with works by Rebecca Clarke, Arvo Part and Matt Van Brink. Declared "the one indispensable quartet" by Newsweek, the ESQ has won nine Grammy Awards -- including two for Best Classical Album -- and the coveted Avery Fisher Prize. The quartet has released more than 30 acclaimed recordings, was recently inducted into the American Classical Music Hall of Fame, and is more electrifying than ever.
