Holocaust Memorial Museum

Located in the heart of Washington, D.C. on the National Mall, the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum is a living tribute to the history of the Holocaust, which features three distinct areas. Light candles in the "Hall of Remembrance" in tribute. Visit the museum's permanent exhibition, which contains over 900 artifacts and videos devoted to educating Holocaust education. There is also a child-friendly explanation of the Holocaust entitled "Remember the Children."

  • Should visitors purchase their tickets in advance?

    Although admission is free, passes are required from March to August of each year. To ensure admission, guests can obtain passes online prior to their visit.
  • When should guests visit the museum?

    The museum is much less crowded during the months of December through February. The busiest months at the museum are April through July.
