One of the greatest living writers, Salman Rushdie gives the inaugural Eudora Welty Lecture as part of the PEN/Faulkner Reading Series. The author of such modern classics as Midnight's Children and The Satanic Verses, Rushdie's honors include the Man Booker Prize, the Best of the Booker and a British knighthood. In this lecture at the Washington National Cathedral, he'll talk about what sparked his love of writing and sent him on a creative journey that would make him one of the most acclaimed authors of his generation.
