These practices have fostered a new breed of chefs and artisans, including Jardenea's Executive Chef, Nate Lindsay. Our goal at Jardenea is to bring a better awareness of food, health, and well-being to your life while insuring to leave the land a better place for the next generation. Jardenea is located in the re-invented glamorously chic art inspired Washington DC hotel, Melrose Georgetown Hotel. In Washington DC, eating is an art form, and Chef Nate's team has taken our dining options up a notch with his dedicated search for the finest organic & local ingredients, and meticulous preparation & presentation. Even our name, Jardenea, from the French word for "garden", personifies freshness.
Set amongst a cooling color palate, clean lines, bold patterns and dramatic artwork, the richly-furnished Jardenea presents an inventive, comfortable and intimate environment. With a communal table option, fresh herb centerpieces and vintage plate focus, the dining room décor evokes the feel of family dinners. Likewise, our use of clean glass-top and refined hardwood linen-less table tops support our environmental commitment.
In both Jardenea and The Lounge, the Cuisine that we create is globally influenced and locally produced whenever possible. Our chefs have a deep appreciation for farm fresh products but also realize these products could come at a great cost and leave a large carbon footprint. While keeping this in the forefront we only source products from the finest farms, fisheries, foragers and artisans that believe in the same vision. Our menus change with the season and reflect regional flavors helping us maximize freshness and minimize our carbon footprint.

Jardenea's Nate Lindsay, Executive Chef steers the menu offerings at the recently reinvented Melrose Georgetown Hotel - a glamorously chic, art-deco inspired Washington, DC boutique hotel - and its new Jardenea restaurant - a "farm-to-fork" signature restaurant developed by Culinary Director of Remington Hotels, Luxury Division, Ted Peters. The inspired concept of Jardenea revolves around the above core concepts of "Inventive, Current and Conscientious" in both food selection and motif, with a high importance placed upon sustainability and priority use of locally sourced ingredients. Additionally, Lindsay oversees the hotel's catering and in-room dining, as well as The Lounge, and brings fresh passion to the goals and successes of Jardenea.

Actually three "living spaces" in one, "The Lounge" begins with our signature Griffin, rug stylish bar library, and comfortable couches and chairs to relax, work or catch up with friends and colleagues. You can also enjoy drinks and watch your favorite sporting events or current news and events (This is Washington, DC, after all!) on The Lounge's flat screen TV's or perhaps enjoy our fireplace while reading your tablet.
"The Lounge" at Melrose Georgetown Hotel, features a unique bar chef concept, allowing our team to create signature beverages that complement our menu, using fresh fruit consommé infusions that produce distinctly fresh flavors. The bartenders at "The Lounge" are dearly devoted to the fine art of mixing cocktails, understanding that each libation is a work of art. Our handcrafted cocktail menu includes the Fresh Squeeze and Washington Ale while the martini selections present choices like the Spicy Politician and Mango Basilio all complimented with a seasonal wine list.
