From Baltimore/Washington Airport (BWI) & Points North, VIA I_95S

  • From Points North, follow I-95S to I-295S/Baltimore-Washington Parkway. From Airport, take the I-295S / BW Parkway approximately 25 miles to Route 50W / New York Ave.
  • Follow Route 50 W / New York Ave. several miles to 14th St., NW and turn right.
  • Take 14th St., NW two blocks to I St., NW and turn right. Continue on I St., NW which becomes Pennsylvania Ave., NW. Follow Pennsylvania Ave., NW for two blocks into Washington Circle. Take circle halfway around to Pennsylvania Ave., NW and turn right.

From I-495 / The Capital Beltway & From I-270S / I70S

  • From I-270, take I-495 / the Capital Beltway West towards Northern Virginia.
  • From the Beltway, take Wisconsin Ave. south, towards Washington, DC. Continue on Wisconsin Ave. for approximately nine miles to M St., NW.
  • Turn left on M St., NW and continue for approximately eight blocks. M St. merges into Pennsylvania Ave., NW.
  • The Melrose Hotel is two blocks down, on the right.

To Reagan National Airport (DCA) & Points South, VIA I-395 S / I-95 S

  • Take Pennsylvania Ave. right, towards Washington Circle. Go around one quarter and turn right onto 23rd St., NW (by hospital). Follow 23rd St. for ten blocks and turn left on Constitution Ave.
  • Follow Constitution Ave., approximately one mile to 14th St., NW and turn right. Continue on 14th St., which becomes a bridge leading onto I-395 S.
  • For National Airport, take the second Exit #10B/George Washington Parkway and follow the signs on the right. This route also leads to Alexandria and Mt. Vernon.
  • For other Points South/I-95 S, continue across bridge on I-395 S, towards Richmond.

To Dulles Airport (IAD) & Northern Virginia / Points West, VIA I-66W

  • Take Pennsylvania Ave. right, towards Washington Circle. Go around one quarter and turn right onto 23rd St. (by hospital). Follow 23rd St. for ten blocks and turn right on Constitution Ave.
  • Continue approximately one mile to cross the Roosevelt Bridge into Virginia. Bear left at the fork to enter I-66W.
  • In approximately ten miles, you will reach Exit #67/Route 267/Dulles Access Road, which is an express route to the airport.
  • For Tyson's Corner/Fairfax, take Exit #68/Leesburg Pike/Route 7W.

To Baltimore/Washington Airport (BWI) & Points North, VIA I-95N

  • Take Pennsylvania Ave. right to 24th St. and turn left. Go one block and turn right onto L St.
  • Follow L St. for 15 blocks and merge onto Massachusetts Ave. This will lead you onto New York Ave. Proceed on New York Ave/Route 50 East for several miles.
  • Bear left at the fork for Baltimore and follow signs for I-295N/ Baltimore-Washington Parkway. From I-295N/BW Pkwy., follow the signs towards the Airport.
  • For other Points North, follow the signs for I-95N/New York.

To I-495 / The Capital Beltway & To I-270N / I-70N

  • Take Pennsylvania Ave. left and bear a slight right; Pennsylvania Ave. becomes M St. Continue on M St. to US-29S/ Key Bridge and go left.
  • Merge onto the George Washington Parkway North, towards McLean/I-495/ Maryland.
  • In approximately eight miles, you will see the entrance to I-495/ Capital Beltway on the Right.
  • Continuing on I-495, you will find the I-270N Spur, Exit #38 towards Frederick, on the left in about five miles. I-70N is off of I-270N, in approximately 30 miles.
